SWAT Health’s Personal Trainers work together with our clinical staff to create a plan that’s tailored to your goals. Every personal training program is unique and customized to suit the specific needs of the individual. Most importantly, our personal trainers are certified, experienced and able to apply their knowledge to gain results from clients with a variety of training experience and fitness levels.
Our Personal Trainers coach clients to a healthier and more active lifestyle and help prevent injuries by ensuring proper exercise technique and safety.
At the heart of every good plan is a thorough understanding of the nature of a problem. At SWAT Health we take great pride in our assessments and therapeutic interventions, and that fact is highlighted in our skilled team of chiropractors. Utilizing the Integrated Assessment©, as well as the SFMA and FMS, our chiropractors are able to quickly diagnose and treat a wide spectrum of conditions, from everyday issues to complex and long standing pathologies. They are trained in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Active Release Techniques® (ART), medical acupuncture, Integrated Patterning©, and Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) therapies.
Our chiropractic staff boasts several certified post-doctorate specialists in both sports medicine and orthopaedic rehabilitation. They work in closely with our other staff members, including massage therapists, naturopaths, and SWAT Certified trainers, to craft unique, patient-centred, evidence-informed plans of management that maximize treatment efficacy. Our movement-based approach to manual medicine will quickly determine where inefficiencies and aberrant motion are occurring, and our team-based, round table approach will fix them quickly and effectively.
Skilled in both functional diagnosis and multiple therapeutic techniques, our physiotherapists are at the centre of our health care team at SWAT. Along with our chiropractors, they are trained in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Active Release Techniques® (ART), medical acupuncture, Integrated Patterning©, and Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) therapies.
Working in conjunction with our massage therapists, naturopaths, and SWAT Certified trainers, our physiotherapists will use the best available medical evidence to construct thoughtful treatment strategies that are personalized and very effective. From everyday sprains and strains, to pelvic pain, sports injuries, and work-related maladies, our team of physiotherapists are equipped to tackle all of your musculoskeletal issues using a movement-based approach to manual medicine.
SWAT Health’s massage therapy team is instrumental in the development of specialized programs aimed at reducing and preventing injury. Although Swedish Massage Technique is most commonly used, SWAT massage therapists offer a variety of hands-on techniques to customize a treatment plan that best suits their clients’ individual needs.
Our RMTs are valued members of the SWAT Health interdisciplinary team. Massage therapy is very often an effective adjunct to other treatments such as physiotherapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, or exercises programs and can work synergistically to speed up the effects of other forms of therapy.
SWAT Health’s licensed Naturopathic Doctors are passionate about treating patients with long-term health in mind, so that feeling great is achievable and sustainable. Our ND’s take a holistic approach to medicine and provide personalized healthcare with a natural focus. Their goal is to dig deeper to treat the root cause of your concerns rather than the symptoms.
Rest is no longer considered the best approach for concussion care. Early intervention of various therapies can significantly improve the recovery process. Through a thorough assessment and the right treatment approach, trained healthcare practitioners can help patients safely return to learn, work and play.
We provide multimodal baseline testing, treatment and rehabilitation to patients and athletes; education, policies and concussion protocols to sports organizations and schools.
Our evidence based concussion management program consists of a curated plan consisting of a combination of exercise therapy, manual therapy, diet & nutritional intervention, vestibular & vision therapy, as well as education and reassurance.
